On November 7, during a sub-forum of the 7th Global Media Summit, international representatives emphasized the need for media outlets to leverage intelligent technologies to provide accurate, unbiased, reliable, and trustworthy information. The meeting, held in small groups, brought together representatives from media, think tanks, government agencies, and other institutions from China and abroad. They discussed adapting to changes, seizing opportunities, and collectively addressing challenges in the AI era.

The event, titled "Artificial Intelligence and Chinese Modernization," focused on the theme of AI Plus and a new consensus on global communication governance. Huo Xiaoguang, vice president of Xinhua News Agency, stated that traditional media worldwide are undergoing significant transformations due to AI development. To create new competitive advantages in the new communication ecosystem, major Chinese media outlets are implementing systematic reforms.

Xinhua News Agency is willing to collaborate with all parties to preserve media credibility, promote inclusive sharing of technological advancements, and strengthen mutual understanding and friendship among different civilizations, Huo added. Bayo Onanuga, special adviser to the Nigerian president on information and strategy, noted that AI's impact is profound and largely positive, and it is impossible to ignore this trend.

Participants called on their media colleagues to forge a consensus, promote dialogue among civilizations through openness and inclusion, and leverage intelligent technologies to make media coverage more accurate, equitable, reliable, and credible. The first humanoid bionic TV news presenter was officially introduced during the event.

The sub-forum also included a ceremony for the Xinhua News Agency's AI Industry Alliance and a research project on mobile news image technology and authenticity standards. The 7th Global Media Summit, co-organized by Xinhua News Agency and the Beijing municipal government, took place from November 5 to 9 in Beijing.

The summit gathered nearly 500 delegates from around 330 major media outlets, think tanks, government agencies, and international organizations from 112 countries and regions. The event provided a platform for global media professionals to discuss the impact of AI on the industry and potential future developments.
