The Institute of Leadership Coaching and Strategy (ILCS) has announced the appointment of Mr. Sunday Adenipekun as its new Registrar and Chief Executive, effective October 5. This appointment follows a rigorous recruitment process and formal council approval. Adenipekun is the immediate past Director of the Academy at the Chartered Institute of Directors, Nigeria (CIoD), where he also served as acting Director-General and Chief Executive on several occasions.

According to the institute, Adenipekun brings 38 years of post-qualification experience to his new role, including 24 years in not-for-profit membership organisations and 11 years in a Federal Government development finance institution. His experience includes 16 years at senior management level across CIoD Nigeria, the Financial Institutions Training Centre (FITC) and Mission Support Agency International (MISAI). The council believes his background in governance and business membership organisations will support the institute's growth.

The ILCS has also appointed its pioneer registrar, Mrs. Ifeoma Adeniyi, as second vice-president. Her appointment was approved at the council meeting on September 30. The institute commended Adeniyi for her contributions since its inception. President and Chairman of Council, Dr. Olasunkade Azeez, urged the appointees to commit their talents, resources and time to their assignments, emphasizing that they share responsibility for accelerating the institute's growth.

As part of its expansion programme, the ILCS has included three standing committee chairmen in its Governing Council. Dr. Morounfoluwa Oluwatosin Oyebola of the Membership Experience Committee, Mrs. Abdulwarees-Solanke Monsurat Modupe of the Finance and General-Purpose Committee, and Dr. Kolawole Akintunji Oyeyemi of the Collaboration and Strategy Committee will join the council. This move aims to strengthen the institute's governance and strategic planning.

Dr. Olasunkade Azeez, President and Chairman of Council, expressed confidence in the abilities of the new appointees. He urged them to work together to drive the institute's growth and strengthen its standing among professional bodies in Nigeria and beyond.
