Huskie emerged victorious in the 12-Goal-Kenya International Cup, a three-day event held at Timau Sports Club. The team won the coveted title in the Mixed-Foursomes Championships, which featured players from Kenya, South Africa, and Argentina. Huskie defeated Vellum 6-5.5 to lift the title. The event's organisers awarded them the Gillies Turle Cup.
Kenya and Africa's top player Casimir Gross, along with his teammates Ryan Robertson, Tarquin Gross, and Lochy Murray, scored five goals for Huskie. Notably, Murray, the lowest handicapped player in that side, finished with a sixth goal. Despite his low handicap, Murray was voted the Most Valuable Player (MVP) and Izzy Stichbury's horse, the HDR Best Playing Pony (BPP).
Vellum's Archie Voorspuy, a handicap 4 player from Kenya, scored four goals, while his teammate Adrian Lavarinhas, also a handicap 4 player from South Africa, had a goal in their four-chukka-match. In their penultimate match, Huskie defeated Prosaro team, comprising Selby Williamson, Will Millar, Ben Stonewigg, and Kimoi Moi, with a score of 9-3.5.
In another match, Infinito, featuring Jadini Nzomo, equaled the scoring standards of South African professionals, scoring five goals in their 8-5.5 win over Redigo Deter. Jadini had expressed his determination to emerge victorious before the match. South Africa's Tom De Bruin, a handicap 6 player, added a hattrick to Jadini's efforts, along with contributions from Raph Nzomo and Mbu Ngugi.
Redigo Deter, however, were beaten 9-8.5 by Vellum in their last matches on the previous day. Infinito also won against Roundup Turbo with a score of 6-5. Youngster Mike Mwirigi, a handicap 0.5 player, was nominated to play for Infinito alongside experienced internationals, including Dirk Van Reenan, Jamie Murray, and Jamie Excel.
