The Criminal Investigations Department (CID) of the Ghana Police Service has announced that Harold Norman, the husband of Rosemond Akua Adobea, popularly known as Nana Akua, missed his court appearance on October 7, 2026. According to the CID, Norman was admitted to the hospital and therefore could not attend court as scheduled. A press release issued by Chief Inspector Francis Kwesi Yeboah, the CID Public Relations Officer, stated that Norman's lawyer informed the police of his client's hospital admission.

Rosemond Akua Adobea, a fashionista and actress, had petitioned the CID on August 10, 2026, alleging that her husband subjected her to physical, emotional, and economic abuse. The CID received the petition and initiated investigations, which revealed that a similar case involving the couple had previously been handled by the Domestic Violence and Victim Support Unit (DOVVSU) at the Lakeside and Ministries Police Stations in July 2026.

Following the petition, Harold Norman was arrested at his residence on August 27, 2026, to assist with investigations. He subsequently gave a caution statement and was granted police enquiry bail on August 29, 2026, with two sureties while investigations continued. The CID said investigators from DOVVSU visited the hospital to verify Norman's claim and are monitoring the situation to ensure he is arraigned immediately upon discharge.
