Chinese automaker Hongqi, a subsidiary of FAW Group, has appointed Hongqi Egypt, a company within the Sky Holding group, as its official representative in the Egyptian market. Hongqi Egypt is a partnership between B Auto and Al-Razk for Cars. The appointment was made during a ceremony in China in September, attended by Sky Holding CEO Mohamed Bilal and Hongqi Egypt CEO Mohamed Razek. This move aims to relaunch Hongqi's operations in Egypt and enhance its local presence.

Hongqi Egypt plans to launch the brand in the Egyptian market with a comprehensive plan to establish a network of sales and after-sales services. This includes three main showrooms in New Cairo, Sheikh Zayed, and Alexandria, as well as a network of authorized distributors in several governorates. Hongqi, which translates to "red flag" in Chinese, was established in 1958 and is part of FAW Group. Initially, the brand produced cars for official use and high-ranking officials but later expanded to luxury passenger cars.

Hongqi currently offers a range of sedans, SUVs, and electric vehicles, with its products available in over 30 countries worldwide. The brand has a history spanning over 60 years in the luxury car sector. Mohamed Bilal, CEO of Sky Holding, stated that the group's partnership with Hongqi is a long-term one, aiming to provide a network of showrooms and after-sales service centers that match the brand's status.

Mohamed Razek, CEO of Hongqi Egypt, said that the company aims to present the brand in the Egyptian market as a luxury brand with a unique history and identity. He added that the coming period will see the completion of arrangements for a network of showrooms and service centers, ahead of announcing commercial launch details. Hongqi Egypt will also provide after-sales services for all Hongqi cars in the Egyptian market, including those previously sold to customers.

The after-sales services will include providing original spare parts, technical support, and manufacturer-approved warranties. Details of the warranty programs and service center network will be announced before the official commercial launch. This move is part of Sky Holding's expansion in the automotive sector, leveraging its 38 years of experience since 1986. The group operates in various fields, including car sales, after-sales services, financing, leasing, insurance, and transportation.

Sky Holding's portfolio includes companies such as B Auto, Sky Finance, Sky Lease, B Rental, Sky Insurance Brokerage, Strada Motors, and GAS, the authorized agent for Mercedes-Benz cars. From FAW Group's side, Shao, General Manager of the Import and Export Company, stated that Hongqi looks forward to starting a new phase in the Egyptian market through its partnership with Hongqi Egypt, with plans to introduce luxury models equipped with advanced technologies.

The partnership between Hongqi and Hongqi Egypt aims to provide services that meet the needs of customers in the local market. With its rich history and advanced products, Hongqi is expected to make a significant impact in the Egyptian automotive market. The company's expansion plans demonstrate its commitment to growth and customer satisfaction in the region.
