Hilton has announced a partnership with Falibra Group and SCF SA to introduce the DoubleTree by Hilton brand to Conakry, Guinea. The DoubleTree by Hilton Conakry Kaloum, expected to open in 2029, marks Hilton's entry into the Guinean market and will offer 196 rooms and suites. The hotel will be located on the Atlantic coast, in the Kaloum district, which serves as the administrative and business center of Conakry.

The hotel will be developed on the site of the former Grand Hôtel de l'Indépendance and will be strategically located near government ministries, the Central Bank of the Republic of Guinea, the Autonomous Port of Conakry, and major corporate offices. This prime location will enable the hotel to cater to official delegations, business travelers, and event attendees. The nearby Loos Islands also offer opportunities for boat excursions.

According to Falilou Diallo, CEO of Falibra Group, the partnership with Hilton represents a significant milestone for Guinea. The DoubleTree by Hilton Conakry Kaloum will provide international-standard hospitality in the heart of Kaloum, leveraging Hilton's global expertise. The project aims to enhance Guinea's hospitality infrastructure and create jobs and training opportunities for local talent.

The DoubleTree by Hilton Conakry Kaloum will feature a range of amenities, including a 24-hour restaurant, a signature restaurant, a lobby café-bar, a poolside bar-grill, an outdoor pool, a children's pool, a fitness center, a spa and wellness area, and a tennis court. The hotel will also offer flexible meeting and event spaces, including a multipurpose hall, meeting rooms, and an outdoor lawn for receptions.

Carlos Khneisser, Hilton's Chief Development Officer for the Middle East and Africa, emphasized that the partnership with Falibra Group and SCF SA marks an important step in Hilton's expansion across Africa. Conakry is a key economic and administrative hub, and Hilton sees significant potential for DoubleTree by Hilton in this prime location.

The project is being developed by Falibra Group and SCF SA through a public-private partnership, aligning with Conakry's efforts to upgrade its hospitality infrastructure. Hilton currently operates over 9,600 properties across 144 countries and territories, with a portfolio of 28 brands. DoubleTree by Hilton is one of the company's growing brands, with over 700 hotels worldwide.

The partnership is expected to boost Guinea's tourism and hospitality sector, providing a world-class hotel experience for business and leisure travelers.
