Hariss International Limited, one of Uganda's prominent food and beverage manufacturers, has announced a job opening for a SAP Functional Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing, maintaining, and optimizing the company's SAP modules. This role involves analyzing business processes, configuring system settings, and translating user requirements into technical specifications. The position is based in Kampala, Uganda.
The SAP Functional Specialist will play a crucial role in bridging the gap between business needs and technical teams. Key responsibilities include documenting requirements, testing, training, and support. The specialist will also monitor system performance and take necessary actions. The role requires a bachelor's degree in a related field, such as Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, Business Administration, or Management Information Systems.
The ideal candidate should have 3-5 years of relevant industry experience or prior SAP implementation experience. Proficiency in SAP S/4HANA is a must, and experience working in East Africa is a plus. The specialist should have a detailed understanding of specific SAP modules, including FI/CO, HCM, MM, PP, PM, QA, SD, and SAP Analytics Cloud. Official SAP certifications, such as Associate, Professional, or Expert levels, would be an added advantage.
The SAP Functional Specialist will be responsible for requirement analysis and design, system configuration, testing and validation, documentation and training, and support and maintenance. The specialist will work closely with the SAP AMC vendor to deliver required solutions and ensure that all defined Service Level Agreements (SLA's) are achieved. The role requires excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with technical teams and business stakeholders.
