Hanhart has collaborated with 0260 and BAIT to create two exclusive chronographs, the Hanhart 0260 x BAIT Black and Creme, which draw inspiration from the German manufacturer's heritage, particularly its iconic 417 ES pilot chronograph from the 1950s. The project brings together two renowned collectors, Lex Borrero and Eric Peng Cheng, who share a passion for horology and vintage cars. The result is a limited-edition timepiece designed to appeal to both historical watch enthusiasts and sports car aficionados.

The Hanhart 0260 x BAIT chronographs feature a 39mm stainless steel case with satin and polished surfaces, reminiscent of mid-20th-century military and automotive chronographs. The case is 13.3mm thick with the sapphire glass and 11.55mm without it. A distinctive feature of the model is its bidirectional, rotating, grooved bezel with a red marker, a nod to Hanhart's historical identity. The case back is engraved with the individual number of each piece, and the watch is water-resistant to 10 bar (100 meters).

The two editions differ primarily in their dials. The Hanhart 0260 x BAIT Black features a black background with cream-colored counters and red accents, evoking the instrument panels of vintage racing cars. In contrast, the Hanhart 0260 x BAIT Creme has a cream-colored dial with brown counters, creating a patina effect reminiscent of aged watches. Both models have a bicompax layout with two horizontally arranged counters, characteristic of classic chronographs.

The dials of the Hanhart 0260 x BAIT chronographs feature fine Arabic numerals and are inspired by a 1930s Hanhart watch, specifically the reference 881. The hands are coated with Super-LumiNova for improved readability in low light. The dial also features Hanhart's vintage logo and the inscriptions 0260 and BAIT, highlighting the collaboration between the three parties.

The Hanhart 0260 x BAIT chronographs are powered by the Sellita SW 510 M, a manual winding mechanical chronograph movement. This Swiss caliber oscillates at 28,800 vibrations per hour and has a 58-hour power reserve. The movement includes 23 jewels and features a stop-seconds function, allowing for precise time setting.

The Hanhart 0260 x BAIT Black and Creme are produced in limited editions of 88 pieces each, totaling 176 watches worldwide. The watches come with vintage-style calfskin straps in black, light brown, and dark brown. The price of the watches is not publicly disclosed, and they are currently listed as sold out on the Hanhart website.

The collaboration between Hanhart, 0260, and BAIT brings together the worlds of horological heritage, automotive culture, and limited-edition watchmaking. The two chronographs represent a dialogue between historical watchmaking and contemporary culture, blending the classic designs of the 1950s with modern watchmaking expertise.
