Austrian watchmaker Habring² and Singapore-based media outlet SJX have announced their third and final collaboration, the Chrono Felix Perpetual "Star". This limited edition timepiece is the culmination of a project celebrating independent watchmaking. The watch boasts a 38.5mm stainless steel case, 13mm thick, with a mix of brushed and polished surfaces. The case features a three-level bezel that adds to its aesthetic appeal while also helping to visually minimize the thickness added by the perpetual calendar module.
The Chrono Felix Perpetual "Star" features a black and gold dial inspired by a vintage Rolex Galaxy watch. The dial showcases eight gold stars as hour markers, a laquered black background, and gold-finished hands and indices. The watch also includes a moon phase display with a gold-finished disk and a frosted moon. The sub-dials are matte-finished with concentric circles, providing a clear visual hierarchy of the watch's various functions.
The watch's movement is the A11CP caliber, developed by Habring² in collaboration with Dubois-Depraz. This caliber combines a monopusher chronograph with a perpetual calendar, capable of automatically adjusting for varying month lengths and leap years. The movement features a manual winding mechanism, operates at 28,800 vibrations per hour, and has a 48-hour power reserve. The A11CP caliber is 30mm in diameter and 7.3mm thick, with 21 jewels.
One of the standout features of the Chrono Felix Perpetual "Star" is its monopusher chronograph, which allows for starting, stopping, and resetting with a single pushbutton. The watch also features a perpetual calendar that can be adjusted via the crown. The movement's components have been finished to a high standard, with decorations performed by the German atelier Pöhlmann-Bresan.
The Chrono Felix Perpetual "Star" will be produced in a limited run of 30 pieces, each individually numbered on the case back. The watch is set to be sold exclusively through SJX, with a price tag of $28,500 before tax. Customers can secure their watch with a 40% deposit, with deliveries scheduled for January and February 2027.
The collaboration between Habring² and SJX marks the end of a trilogy of watches that have showcased the capabilities of independent watchmaking. The Chrono Felix Perpetual "Star" brings together historical horological references, advanced mechanical complications, and a unique aesthetic design. This limited edition watch is sure to appeal to collectors seeking a rare and distinctive timepiece.
