A strong show of popular mobilization welcomed a delegation of Guinean parliamentarians to Dabola's Maison des jeunes on Thursday. The delegation, which included Lamine Kaba, president of the FIDEL party, and several other prominent parliamentarians, arrived in the prefecture via the Tinkisso hydroelectric dam. They were received by local authorities, including Prefect Colonel Alpha Oumar Cissé, administrative officials, and defense and security forces.
The visit is part of a broader tour by parliamentarians to gather concerns from residents and address them within their competencies at the National Assembly. Lamine Kaba explained that the visit aimed to thank the population for their support during the recent legislative elections and to collect their concerns. He emphasized the importance of listening to the population and taking their concerns into account in parliamentary work.

Honorable Mohamed Nabé, president of the National Assembly's Mining and Geology Commission, recalled the primary missions of parliamentarians, including representing citizens, drafting laws, controlling government action, and evaluating public policies. He emphasized that the concerns collected from the population would be examined before being directed to the relevant authorities.
The meeting allowed parliamentarians to identify key challenges faced by the population, including infrastructure development, youth employment, access to energy, education, and healthcare infrastructure. Honorable Ibrahima Diané noted that Dabola needs basic infrastructure, and efforts should be made to address youth employment and economic activities. He also highlighted the potential of the Tinkisso hydroelectric dam in terms of energy access and economic development.
The empowerment of women was also a central theme in the discussions. Deputy Moussou Mansaré emphasized the importance of economic empowerment for women and combating gender-based violence. She pledged to prioritize the concerns of women at the national level, particularly in the area of entrepreneurship. Mansaré also stressed the need to strengthen awareness-raising efforts against violence against women and young girls.
Through this meeting, parliamentarians collected several concerns expressed by the Dabola population, covering areas such as infrastructure, employment, energy, education, health, and women's empowerment. The delegation praised the population's mobilization and called for maintaining peace, unity, and social cohesion.
