As part of his parliamentary vacation, Guinean lawmaker Abdoulaye Diallo conducted a proximity tour in various localities of Mandiana, including Saladou, Boula, and Noumoudjiguila, before heading to the Guinea-Côte d'Ivoire border. In Linsoro, residents emphasized the need for increased public investment in infrastructure. Teneinka Brema, a local representative, highlighted the village's long-standing issues, including the construction of a school in 1970 with only two classrooms, which has not seen any significant government investment since its inception. He lamented the lack of roads, limited access to clean water with only three water pumps serving the entire village, and the need for improved healthcare facilities.
The concerns expressed in Saladou and Boula mirrored those in Linsoro, with a focus on improving road infrastructure, access to clean water, education, and enhancing agricultural production. The mayor of Saladou emphasized the importance of addressing these issues, particularly the state of the road connecting Saladou to Noumoudjiguila and the valorization of agricultural products such as acajou.
In Noumoudjiguila, Souleymane Sidibé, a local resident, welcomed Diallo's visit and highlighted the difficulties faced by the community, including transportation challenges and limited access to medical care. He stressed that the lack of a proper road hampers the community's ability to access essential services, often resulting in fatalities during medical emergencies.
The tour concluded at the Guinea-Côte d'Ivoire border, where Diallo interacted with Guinean and Ivoirian border officials, expressing appreciation for their service. He explained that his visit was part of his parliamentary duties, aimed at engaging with constituents, understanding their concerns, and relaying these issues to the relevant authorities.
