A group called the Tinubu-Uba Sani Consolidation Front (TUSCOF) has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kaduna State Governor, Senator Uba Sani, for their partnership with the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI). This partnership aims to increase access to clean energy, technical skills, and emerging technologies in Kaduna State. TUSCOF described the initiative as a significant investment in grassroots development.

The partnership includes a 500-beneficiary empowerment programme, a drone training centre, and a skills development facility. TUSCOF's National Chairman, Malam Mohammed Jalal Sada, and Director of Media & Publicity, Nasir Dambatta, signed a media statement in Abuja, praising the programme's focus on clean energy, technical skills, and emerging technologies. The programme's Sustainable Empowerment arm distributed solar home systems, clean cooking stoves, and support packs to 500 residents across Kaduna State's 23 local government areas.

The programme's beneficiaries include 450 women, representing 90 per cent of the total beneficiaries. TUSCOF noted that this inclusive approach underscores the programme's commitment to grassroots reach and development. The solar home systems will provide alternative energy for domestic use, while the clean cooking stoves will help reduce fuel consumption and exposure to cooking smoke, particularly among women.

TUSCOF applauded President Tinubu for providing policy direction and support for initiatives that bring science and engineering benefits to ordinary Nigerians. The group also appreciated Governor Uba Sani for his commitment to partnerships that translate development priorities into practical interventions for the people of Kaduna State.

The NASENI Skills Development Centre at Rigachikun, in Igabi Local Government Area, is another key aspect of the partnership. The centre aims to strengthen vocational and technical education in the state by equipping young people with practical, industry-relevant competencies. This will improve their employment prospects and encourage entrepreneurship in technology-driven sectors.

The NASCAV Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) Training Centre is also part of the partnership. Specialised drone training will open new opportunities in agriculture, infrastructure monitoring, mapping, environmental management, and other emerging fields. TUSCOF welcomed the participation of women in the drone-training initiative, stressing that women should have equal opportunities to acquire specialised skills and participate in emerging areas of science, engineering, and technology.

TUSCOF urged the relevant authorities to sustain the initiative through effective monitoring, transparent beneficiary selection, proper maintenance of distributed equipment, and continuous expansion of technical training opportunities. The group reaffirmed its commitment to recognising and publicising development initiatives that advance inclusive growth, technological innovation, and improved living standards across Nigeria.
