The Ghana Investment Promotion Authority (GIPA) is set to host the maiden edition of the Invest Ghana Summit, scheduled for November 16-17, 2026, at the Kempinski Hotel, Gold Coast City, in Accra. The two-day event is expected to attract over 2,000 local and global investors, diplomats, policymakers, and business leaders. The summit, themed “Investing in Ghana's New Economy: Building a Productive Economy that Creates Value and Competes Globally,” aims to showcase Ghana's investment opportunities, including recent reforms and opportunities linked to the African Continental Free Trade Area (AfCFTA).
The Invest Ghana Summit is designed to connect investors with viable projects and investment opportunities from across Ghana's regions. It will provide a platform for Ghanaian businesses and project promoters to engage directly with investors, financiers, and technical partners. Structured follow-up engagements will also help convert investment discussions into tangible partnerships and projects. A key focus of the Summit will be investment opportunities identified through GIPA's Investment Opportunities Mapping Project (IOMP), alongside initiatives linked to the Government's 24-Hour Economy agenda.
The summit is being convened under the patronage of President John Dramani Mahama. According to GIPA's Chief Executive Officer (CEO), Mr. Simon Madjie, the Summit comes at a pivotal time as Ghana strengthens its position as a preferred investment destination in Africa through ongoing economic reforms, industrialisation initiatives, and the implementation of the AfCFTA. He emphasized that Ghana must embrace a new investment drive centred on productive investment that builds industries, adds value to local resources, and creates sustainable jobs.
The Invest Ghana Summit will be followed by the 22nd Ghana Club 100 Awards on November 18, 2026, at The Palms Convention Centre, Accra. The event is GIPA’s flagship corporate awards programme, which will honour Ghana's top-performing companies for excellence, innovation, growth, and contributions to national economic development. Companies across various sectors have already submitted an overwhelming number of entries, reaffirming the awards' position as Ghana's premier corporate ranking and recognition platform since its launch in 1998.
The CEO of GIPA noted that the quality and diversity of submissions for the Ghana Club 100 Awards demonstrate companies' commitment to excellence and driving economic growth despite a challenging global business environment. He called on businesses, the investment community, diplomatic and development partners, and government to participate fully in the events, ensuring that Ghana’s opportunities are effectively presented and that the Summit delivers meaningful outcomes.
The Invest Ghana Summit and the Ghana Club 100 Awards are being held in partnership with several government ministries and agencies, as well as private sector companies, including MTN Ghana, Zhijing Golden Ridge Limited, KGL Group, and Mohinani Group. The events are expected to provide a platform for Ghanaian businesses and project promoters to engage with investors and facilitate access to policymakers, regulators, and investment facilitation institutions.
The Invest Ghana Summit 2026 is expected to serve as a premier platform to showcase Ghana's investment opportunities and provide a platform for investors to engage with viable projects.
