The Ghana Investment Promotion Authority (GIPA) recently presented investment opportunities in Ghana to Bavarian businesses. The Deputy Chief Executive Officer of GIPA, Abdul Razak Baba, made the presentation at the Bavarian Business Delegation Symposium and Networking Event held in Accra on September 22, 2026. The event was organised by the Delegation of German Industry and Commerce in Ghana (AHK Ghana), in collaboration with the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy and Bayern International.

The symposium brought together Bavarian businesses and key Ghanaian government institutions to explore investment and partnership opportunities, particularly in food and agribusiness. Mr Baba highlighted areas where Bavarian companies could establish partnerships and explore investment opportunities in Ghana. The focus was on agribusiness, food processing, technology transfer, and industrial development.

Representatives from various Ghanaian institutions participated in the event, including the Food and Drugs Authority, Ghana Free Zones Authority, the 24-Hour Economy and Accelerated Export Development Secretariat, and the Council for Scientific and Industrial Research’s Food Research Institute. These stakeholders explored areas for potential collaboration between Ghanaian and German businesses.

Discussions at the event focused on agribusiness, food processing, technology transfer, and industrial development. The goal was to identify potential areas for collaboration between Ghanaian and German businesses. By exploring these opportunities, both parties aim to strengthen economic ties and promote investment in Ghana.

The event provided a platform for Bavarian businesses to learn about Ghana's investment opportunities and for Ghanaian institutions to showcase their capabilities. The collaboration between AHK Ghana, the Bavarian Ministry of Economic Affairs, Regional Development and Energy, and Bayern International helped facilitate the dialogue between the two parties.

GIPA's efforts to promote Ghana as an investment destination are part of a broader strategy to attract foreign investment and stimulate economic growth. By engaging with Bavarian businesses, GIPA aims to tap into the German market and encourage investments that can contribute to Ghana's development.

The engagement between GIPA and Bavarian businesses is expected to yield positive outcomes for Ghana's economy. As the country continues to promote its investment opportunities, it is likely to attract more foreign investment and partnerships that can drive growth and development.
