GIG Egypt – Hayat Takaful has reported a significant 150% increase in net profits for 2025, reaching 138.5 million pounds, compared to 55.5 million pounds in the previous year. This growth is attributed to a rise in the surplus from insurance activities and increased investment returns, according to the company's adjusted comparative figures for 2024. The substantial increase reflects the company's strong performance and effective strategy.

The company's total assets reached 5.28 billion pounds by the end of December 2025, marking a 36% growth from 3.89 billion pounds at the end of the previous year. Additionally, shareholders' equity increased to 1.22 billion pounds, up from 1.06 billion pounds in 2024, representing a 15% growth. This improvement in the company's financial position underscores its stability and capacity for sustainable growth.

The surplus from insurance activities saw a remarkable 108% increase, rising to 81.8 million pounds in 2025 from 39.3 million pounds in the previous year. Shareholders' share of the insurance activity surplus grew to 40.9 million pounds, compared to 19.7 million pounds in 2024. Meanwhile, the net income from unallocated investments reached 119.1 million pounds, up from 89 million pounds, reflecting a 34% growth.

These indicators demonstrate the significant contribution of both insurance activities and investments to the company's profitability, alongside its efforts to expand its business and enhance operational efficiency. The growth is particularly notable within the competitive Egyptian life insurance market. The company's strategy focuses on providing protection and developing customer-centric solutions.

Samer Anis, Managing Director and CEO of GIG Egypt – Hayat Takaful, emphasized that the 2025 results highlight the company's robust performance and successful approach to achieving balanced and sustainable growth.
