Ghana Water Limited's Accra West Region has recognised two major commercial customers, GIHOC Distilleries and KANE-EM Limited, for their prompt payment of bills. The recognition was part of this year's Customer Service Month, held under the theme "Going the Extra Mile, Delivering Quality in Every Service". This initiative highlights the importance of strong relationships between service providers and their customers.

The Regional Chief Manager, Ing. Francis Lamptey, emphasised that timely payment of bills enables the company to meet its operational expenses, including electricity bills, treatment chemicals, repairs and maintenance, as well as staff salaries. He noted that prompt payments play a crucial role in sustaining the company's operations. This recognition is a gesture of appreciation for the companies' contributions to Ghana Water's operations.

The Chief Executive Officer of GIHOC Distilleries, Mr Jones Borteye Applerh, welcomed the recognition, noting that water is essential to the company's beverage production. He emphasised that good customer service requires businesses to listen to their customers and understand their needs. Mr Applerh reaffirmed GIHOC's commitment to working with Ghana Water, as both organisations depend on each other to operate successfully.

The Chief Financial Officer of KANE-EM Limited, Mr Sanjv Sah, also welcomed the recognition, acknowledging the company's contribution to Ghana Water's operations. He noted that GIHOC Distilleries and KANE-EM Limited are among the region's important commercial customers whose payments help sustain its operations. The companies were presented with G-Water products and souvenirs as a gesture of appreciation.

Ghana Water's Accra West Region serves approximately 67,000 customers across five districts: Darkuman-Gbawe, Kaneshie, Odorkor, Sowutuom and Amasaman. The regional management team plans to continue appreciation visits with other selected commercial customers to acknowledge their contributions and strengthen business relationships. This effort aims to recognise the support of customers and reaffirm the region's commitment to improving customer service.

District teams are expected to visit additional customers throughout the week as part of efforts to recognise their support. The items presented to the companies included tissues, mugs, 10 packs of bottled water and other promotional materials. These visits demonstrate Ghana Water's commitment to building strong relationships with its customers and stakeholders.

The recognition of GIHOC Distilleries and KANE-EM Limited is part of Ghana Water's efforts to appreciate its loyal customers and encourage prompt payment of bills.
