The Headteacher of Abamkrom Islamic Basic School in Ghana's Upper West Akyem District, Rufai Issah, has made an appeal to the government and philanthropists for ICT tools. The school, located in the Eastern Region, currently faces a shortage of computers and other digital equipment. The new classroom block was provided by the Ebro and Me Boafo Foundation as part of its philanthropic efforts. The foundation handed over the six-unit classroom block and supporting facilities to the school. Rufai Issah commended the foundation for the gesture, describing the new facilities as a significant improvement. He noted that the school needed further support, particularly in ICT, to complement the new infrastructure.

The Executive Director of the Me Boafo Foundation, Dr Emmanuel Obiri Addo, explained that the intervention was prompted by the poor condition of the school's previous facilities. The old structure had deteriorated, necessitating a new building to provide pupils with a safe environment for learning. The foundation's philanthropic efforts aim to support education and improve learning outcomes.
Dr Obiri Addo urged pupils to take advantage of the improved learning environment and make good use of the facilities provided. He encouraged them to study hard and remain focused on their studies. The handover ceremony was attended by several dignitaries who expressed excitement about the transformation at the school.
