The theme of the expo, "Positioning Ghana as a 24-Hour Investment Economy," will focus on various sectors of the economy, including agribusiness, digital sovereignty, and AfCFTA industrial acceleration within Ghana's tourism agenda. The event will feature presentations, an Investment Marketplace, and Deal Flow opportunities for companies to explore business linkages. This partnership provides an opportunity for stronger coordination between the Expo organisers and government institutions.
The Presidential Adviser welcomed the team and informed them that the 24 Hour Economy Secretariat is happy to provide support to the expo on behalf of the presidency. The Secretariat's role in the organisation of the Expo was discussed, and relevant information was requested to advise on its involvement. Mr. Emmanuel Treku, Chairman of the Inter Tourism Expo team, briefed the Presidential Adviser on the purpose of organising the expo.
According to Mr. Treku, the expo aims to showcase Ghana's tourism potential and attract investments and returns to benefit the country and its people. He cited the huge returns other countries obtain from tourism and expressed the view that Ghana can also attract and retain such financial returns for the country's development and wealth creation. The engagement with the 24 Hour Economy Secretariat was considered particularly significant.
The Inter Tourism Expo and Conference is an annual event aimed at showcasing Ghana's potential and attracting local and foreign tourists to experience exclusive Ghanaian historical and cultural heritage assets.
