The Chief of the Gambibgo Traditional Area, Naba Sayeed Akolmolga Anon-Egra Sadik, is rallying public support for the Alagube Association's initiative to establish a Registrar-General's Department office in the Upper East Region. This move aims to enhance access to business registration services for local entrepreneurs and business owners. Currently, they face financial burdens and inconvenience by traveling to Accra for registration.

Naba Sadik emphasized that the proposed office is part of the Alagube Association's development efforts to improve livelihoods and create economic opportunities in the region. He was speaking on Bolga FM's Tinmaalgo Sanga programme. The chief urged residents to support the activities of both the Alagube and Bonaboto associations, stressing that collective efforts are necessary to address the region's development challenges.

The establishment of a local business registration office would make the process more accessible and affordable, particularly for small business owners who struggle with the cost and time involved in traveling outside the region. Naba Sadik encouraged traditional rulers to take a more active role in attracting development projects to their communities by engaging relevant government institutions.

Naba Sadik advised traditional authorities to pursue development through established government structures rather than relying on political connections or influence. He urged chiefs to work constructively with state institutions to secure projects and services that would improve the living conditions of their people.

The Gambibgo chief's call for support comes as part of a broader effort to address development challenges in the Upper East Region. By working together, local stakeholders aim to create a more conducive environment for businesses to thrive. This, in turn, is expected to improve economic opportunities and livelihoods for residents.

The proposed Registrar-General's office is expected to reduce the financial burden on entrepreneurs and business owners. It will also decrease the time spent traveling to Accra for business registration. The initiative has garnered attention from local stakeholders, who recognize its potential to positively impact the region's economy.

Key stakeholders, including traditional rulers and residents, are urged to support the Alagube Association's initiative. By doing so, they can contribute to the region's development and create a more favorable business environment. The establishment of a local Registrar-General's office is seen as a crucial step towards achieving this goal.
