The Gabonese Conference of Private Universities and Grandes Écoles (CGEUP) recently convened in Libreville to reaffirm its commitment to enhancing the quality of education and employability of its graduates. The event, held at the Université Libreville Nord, was attended by the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Professor Charles Edgar Mombo. The CGEUP aims to strengthen the quality of training, pedagogical innovation, and professional insertion of its students.

According to CGEUP President, Professor Jean-Louis Nkoulou Nkoulou, improving the quality of education and aligning training with economic needs are crucial for private institutions. He emphasized that the organization's goal is to contribute to building a high-quality private higher education system capable of producing skilled professionals that meet the country's economic needs. To achieve this, the CGEUP will focus on enhancing training quality, pedagogical innovation, and graduate employability.

The CGEUP's strategy involves better preparing students for the job market and strengthening the contribution of private institutions to the training of qualified professionals in Gabon. The organization seeks to establish itself as a strategic partner of the state in youth training. By doing so, the CGEUP aims to promote the development of a high-quality private higher education system that meets national priorities.

Pacôme Marie Itsana, President and Founder of the Université Libreville Nord, welcomed the ceremony and advocated for stronger cooperation between member institutions to improve the quality of education. He emphasized that universities should not only transmit knowledge but also prepare young people to address the challenges of their time. Itsana encouraged the construction of bridges between institutions to provide better training for Gabon's youth.

The CGEUP comprises several private institutions, including the Université Libreville Nord, Business School (BBS), the Institute of Management and Applied Sciences (IMSA), the Institute of Advanced Techniques (ITA), and the Institute of Higher Economic and Entrepreneurial Studies (IHEE). Through this platform, the CGEUP aims to strengthen concertation between institutions and contribute to the improvement of private higher education in Gabon.

To support its objectives, the CGEUP has concluded a partnership with Ecobank, aiming to strengthen ties with the professional world. This partnership is part of the organization's efforts to develop collaborations and promote the training of professionals that meet the needs of the job market and national priorities. By doing so, the CGEUP seeks to limit the need for Gabonese students to pursue education abroad.

The CGEUP's efforts focus on forming professionals that align with the needs of Gabon's economy and job market. By enhancing the quality of education and employability of its graduates, the organization aims to contribute to the country's development and growth. The CGEUP's commitment to quality and innovation in education is expected to have a positive impact on Gabon's higher education landscape.
