The Minister of Tourism, Didier Mazenga Mukanzu, conducted an inspection of the Centre culturel et artistique pour les pays d’Afrique centrale and the Echangeur de Limete in Kinshasa on September 26. At the Centre culturel, Minister Mazenga visited various spaces that will accommodate the opening ceremony, panels, and exhibitions on the first day of the festival. He was accompanied by the Director-General of the Office national du tourisme (ONT) and several members of his cabinet. After the visit, Mazenga expressed satisfaction with the conditions offered by the site, stating that it is ready to host the event with quality spaces meeting international standards.
The ministerial delegation then proceeded to the Echangeur de Limete, where musical activities and the festival's evening events are planned. Mazenga inspected the different spaces and arrangements for the activities. On this occasion, he invited the inhabitants of Kinshasa to participate in the festival, which is announced to be free of charge, and urged them to respect the instructions and show discipline during the events.
Minister Mazenga also mentioned the efforts of President Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo in promoting peace in the eastern part of the Democratic Republic of Congo. The second edition of the FMMT is expected to bring together several activities dedicated to music, tourism, and Congolese culture in Kinshasa.
