Firefighters also responded to another incident at Iwrissen village in Tizi n'Berber commune at 14:40, containing a fire that burned 2,500 square meters of underbrush. Quick action prevented further spread.
Additional fires occurred at Ikoubab village in Béjaïa commune and Sidi Ayad and Melbou. At Ikoubab, firefighters were deployed at 18:30 to extinguish a fire that consumed 3,000 square meters of underbrush. Two other fires, one in Sidi Ayad and the other in Melbou, were brought under control, with the Melbou fire destroying 8,000 square meters of vegetation.
