The Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, FCT, Nyesom Wike, has inaugurated the Dunamis Pedestrian Bridge in Abuja, commending Dr Paul Enenche, Senior Pastor of Dunamis International Gospel Centre, and his wife for their humanitarian services. Wike described the bridge as a demonstration of purposeful leadership, noting that the church had complemented the government's efforts to address residents' welfare and safety needs. The bridge's construction reflects the church's commitment to the spiritual and physical well-being of humanity.

Wike recalled that the church's application for the project was submitted in 2018 and approved under President Bola Tinubu's administration. He attributed the approval to responsive leadership, emphasizing that leadership is essential to the growth of any institution. The Minister praised Dr Enenche and his wife for combining spiritual responsibilities with practical interventions that improve people's lives. He noted that their leadership prowess was the reason for the bridge's commissioning.

During the commissioning ceremony, Wike approved Dr Enenche's request for a protective shield on the pedestrian bridge, pledging that the FCT Administration would cover 50 percent of the cost. He expressed the administration's commitment to supporting organizations that make meaningful contributions to society. Wike urged residents and church members to use the pedestrian bridge to ensure their safety while crossing the road.

Dr Enenche emphasized the importance of love, generosity, and selfless service, citing biblical references to highlight God's demonstration of love. He identified four dimensions of love: giving, contribution, distribution, societal impact, and posterity. According to him, love is not measured by what individuals acquire but by their contributions to society and positive influences on others.

Enenche stressed that impact is more important than income, and people would be remembered for the problems they solved and their positive contributions. He reminded the congregation that beyond earthly recognition, everyone would account for their stewardship before God. The cleric cited Hebrews 9:27, emphasizing that death and divine judgment are inevitable.

Senator Ireti Kingibe, representing the FCT, commended Dr Enenche for his contributions to societal development and urged other religious organizations to emulate the church. The commissioning ceremony was attended by dignitaries, including lawmakers, top FCT officials, and security personnel. The event showcased the church's investment in projects that directly benefit its host community.

The Dunamis Pedestrian Bridge is a testament to the church's commitment to humanitarian services and the welfare of residents. The FCT Minister's approval of the project and the construction of the bridge demonstrate the government's willingness to partner with institutions that complement its efforts to improve citizens' welfare. The bridge is expected to enhance the safety and well-being of residents in the area.
