The family of Prince Felix Adebusuyi Ademuyiwa has announced his funeral arrangements. Prince Felix, a former staff member of the Central Bank of Nigeria, gospel minister, and prince of Ikun, Akoko South West LGA, passed away on August 17, 2026, at the age of 71. The announcement was made by Prince Adejugbe Anthony Ademuyiwa, President of the Centre for Empowerment of the Disabled and the younger brother of the deceased.
Prince Felix was born on May 17, 1955, in Ikun Akoko, Ondo State. He began his early education in Ikun and Afo, and was raised for a period by his maternal uncle, Mr. Akinjogunla, a school teacher and his mother’s elder brother. He later attended CAC Modern Secondary School, Ikun Akoko, before proceeding to Ireakari Grammar School, Idoani.
Prince Felix obtained a degree in Banking from the University of Benin and later earned a master’s degree from Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba-Akoko. He began his professional career with the Central Bank of Nigeria in 1977, serving in different locations, including Lagos, Kano, and Benin, before returning to Lagos. He served with the CBN until 1996, after which he ventured into private enterprise.
Prince Felix was described by his family and associates as brilliant, resourceful, diligent, and focused. His peaceful and quiet disposition remained some of the qualities for which he was widely known. He was also a generous man and a committed giver who was willing to support people around him. A committed Christian, Prince Felix was also a minister of the gospel, combining his professional career with his service to God, family, and community.
The funeral arrangements comprise a Service of Songs scheduled for Thursday, October 8, 2026, at 5:00 p.m., while the Funeral Service will take place on Friday, October 9, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at the Apostolic Faith Church, Campground Road, Anthony Village, Lagos State. The Thanksgiving Service will subsequently be held on Sunday, October 11, 2026, at the Apostolic Faith Church, Jakande Estate, Abesan, Ipaja.
