Eswatini Bank has recently trained agents and residents in Shiselweni on using its ShareSha digital wallet, enabling users to send money to any mobile number, even if the recipient is not registered on the platform. The training, held at Bethesda Church in Nhlangano, aims to expand access to digital financial services in the region. This initiative is part of the bank's efforts to promote financial inclusion and make transactions more convenient.

During the training, Eswatini Bank Senior Manager Channels and Products, Simanga Motsa, emphasized the importance of customer service and encouraged agents to prioritize assisting customers. He stated that agents are now considered colleagues of the bank and should work together to ensure customers receive assistance. Motsa also highlighted that Eswatini Bank is the only institution offering a digital wallet that can operate independently of a traditional bank account.

The ShareSha digital wallet allows users to send and receive money, buy airtime and data bundles from MTN and Eswatini Mobile, pay electricity bills to the Eswatini Electricity Company, and settle local water bills. Customers can also load prepaid cards for digital retail and online transactions. Registration for ShareSha can be completed through the Nomakuphi mobile application, by dialling the USSD code *656#, or by visiting a bank branch.

To register for ShareSha, smartphone users can download or update the Eswatini Bank Nomakuphi application from the Google Play Store, open it, select 'Sha', and follow the self-registration process. Customers can use the service through the Nomakuphi application, USSD cellphone banking, or internet banking. Cash deposits and withdrawals can be made through authorized Eswatini Bank agents or at the bank's automated teller machines (ATMs).

The training session also demonstrated how members of the public can register for ShareSha using a mobile phone and a national identity document. Bank representative Thembisa Maseko guided participants through the registration process, ensuring that agents are equipped to assist customers. The bank's goal is to empower agents with practical knowledge to help customers access ShareSha services.

Eswatini Bank's ShareSha digital wallet is an innovative solution that enables users to send money to any mobile number, promoting financial inclusion and convenience. The bank's efforts to expand access to digital financial services in the region are expected to have a positive impact on the local economy. As the bank continues to promote ShareSha, residents can look forward to a more streamlined and efficient way of conducting transactions.

With the introduction of ShareSha, Eswatini Bank is poised to revolutionize the way people make transactions in the country. The digital wallet's features, such as the ability to send money to any mobile number, make it an attractive option for users. As the bank continues to educate residents about the benefits of ShareSha, it is likely that the service will gain widespread acceptance.
