The project included the installation of a new layer of bituminous concrete, sidewalks, and drainage systems, as well as signage. This road connects the Port of Bata, the industrial zone, and the highway. The President emphasized the strategic importance of these infrastructure projects in advancing the country's development.
The third road inaugurated is the Alep-Bikom road, part of the outer ring road of Bata, which has been constructed as an urban boulevard. The road features a 15-meter carriageway, pedestrian sidewalks, and a stormwater drainage system. The Minister of State for Public Works, Clemente Ferreiro Villarino, highlighted the significance of these projects, stating that they demonstrate the government's commitment to delivering tangible results.
During the inauguration ceremony, President Obiang Nguema Mbasogo recalled his recent visits to the continental region, where he also inaugurated the Provincial Court of Wele-Nzas in Mongomo and the Akurenam-Kogo road.
