The 10th Power & Energy Tanzania 2026 and 10th Solar Expo Tanzania 2026 are set to take place in Dar es Salaam from October 7-9. More than eight countries have confirmed their participation in the exhibitions, which aim to create opportunities for investment, technology transfer, and business partnerships in Tanzania's growing power, energy, and solar sectors. The events will bring together manufacturers, suppliers, investors, utilities, and industry stakeholders to showcase products and build commercial links.

The participating countries include China, India, Tanzania, Kenya, Thailand, the United Kingdom, the United Arab Emirates, and Egypt. Companies and industry representatives from other parts of Asia, Africa, and Europe will also be in attendance. According to Expogroup Director Benney Mosha, the event will be graced by Deputy Minister for Energy, Salome Makamba, and will attract government officials, ambassadors, financiers, and senior representatives from utilities and regulatory institutions.

The exhibitions have received support from key trade and energy institutions, including the Tanzania Trade Development Authority (TanTrade), Tanzania Energy Association (TEA), National Commercial Directory (NCD), and Tanzania Investment and Special Economic Zones Authority (TISEZA). Their participation reflects the growing importance of investment, innovation, and modernization in East Africa's energy infrastructure. Mr. Mosha stated that the international participation reflects the growing commercial opportunities in Tanzania's energy market and the wider East African region.

The 2026 editions are expected to feature more than 160 exhibitors from over 25 countries, showcasing equipment, technologies, and solutions covering electricity generation, transmission, solar power, and renewable energy. Some of the participating companies include Sanney Power, Adaptive Engineering P Ltd, Vijay Transmission Private Limited, and Shandong Tailai Electric Co Ltd. The exhibitions will provide a platform for businesses to access customers, identify investment opportunities, and position themselves within Tanzania's expanding power and renewable-energy value chains.

Beyond product displays, the exhibitions are expected to generate commercial opportunities by connecting suppliers with utility companies, independent power producers, engineering, procurement, and construction contractors, solar installers, system integrators, and institutional buyers. The diversity of participants will make the exhibitions an important meeting point for buyers and sellers seeking new technologies, investment opportunities, and partnerships.

Tanzania's expanding electricity market, ongoing grid development, and rural electrification programs are creating demand for new generation and transmission capacity. Private investment in solar and off-grid systems is also opening additional opportunities. The exhibitions will offer participating businesses more than a showcase of technology; they will provide a platform to access customers and identify investment opportunities.

The events are expected to be an important platform for stakeholders to network and explore business opportunities in Tanzania's growing energy sector. With the country's energy market expanding, the exhibitions will provide a valuable opportunity for businesses to position themselves for growth and investment in the sector. Key industry players will gather to discuss the latest trends and innovations in the energy sector.
