Emirates SkyCargo has launched a dedicated product, AI Tech, designed to help airline customers move critical and sensitive AI infrastructure safely and on time. The product combines priority loading, specialized handling, and proactive shipment monitoring through Emirates SkyCargo's command centre in Dubai. This solution aims to address the complex movement of technology equipment, which often involves high-value cargo, compressed timelines, and specialized handling requirements.

The AI Tech product is tailored for AI server racks, semiconductors, GPUs, capital equipment, and other critical hardware infrastructure. By March 2027, Emirates will operate a fleet of 23 dedicated freighters, providing valuable main deck capacity for transporting tall and dense server racks often weighing more than 3.5 tons. This expansion will enable Emirates to meet the growing demand for AI infrastructure transportation.

Badr Abbas, Divisional Senior Vice President, Emirates SkyCargo, emphasized that behind every AI breakthrough is physical infrastructure that needs to arrive safely and on time. He stated that AI Tech is designed to give customers confidence that their critical equipment will move seamlessly across Emirates' network, supported by operational oversight and proactive communication.

In July alone, Emirates transported more than 700 tons of AI infrastructure across its global network, and demand has continued to grow. As the AI sector expands, Emirates aims to become the carrier of choice for companies operating across the AI ecosystem. The company has developed AI Tech drawing on hands-on experience transporting AI-related hardware across its network.

Key features of Emirates SkyCargo's AI Tech include globally standardized dedicated handling procedures, priority loading and scheduling, airport-to-airport shipment visibility, and proactive customer communication. The product also offers specialist project cargo support for oversized and heavy cargo, ensuring that customers' needs are met.

AI Tech is available across Emirates SkyCargo's global network for most AI-related cargo, including semiconductors, chips, and server racks. For highly specialized manufacturing equipment, station capability assessments are conducted in advance to ensure shipment requirements can be safely accommodated. This thorough approach underscores Emirates' commitment to serving the rapidly evolving needs of the AI sector.

Emirates SkyCargo's AI Tech underlines the company's commitment to providing a logistics solution built around speed, reliability, visibility, and specialized handling. With its extensive fleet and global network, Emirates is well-positioned to support the growing demand for AI infrastructure transportation, providing customers with a reliable and efficient solution.
