The Egyptian Ministry of Communications and Information Technology has partnered with Google to provide university students in Egypt with a free subscription to Google AI Plus for one year. This initiative, part of the "One Million Egyptian Students Create with Gemini" program, aims to empower students to use artificial intelligence tools responsibly and effectively in their education and research. The program targets students aged 18 and above who are enrolled in Egyptian universities.

To be eligible for the free subscription, students must register by December 31, 2026. The Google AI Plus subscription, normally valued at 3,000 EGP per year, offers a range of tools to support students' academic work. These include Google Gemini for understanding complex questions, Gemini Notebook for research and summarization, image and video generation, and 400 GB of cloud storage.

Students can register for the free subscription by following a series of steps on the dedicated registration page. They must log in with their Google account, verify their eligibility, and complete the necessary verification procedures. Once registered, students can access the benefits of Google AI Plus, including Gemini and Gemini Notebook, for 12 months.

The Google AI Plus subscription provides students with various tools to organize their study materials and complete academic tasks. Google Gemini helps students understand complex questions and utilize AI in their studies. Gemini Notebook assists with research, summarizing large documents, and creating interactive summaries. Additionally, the subscription offers image and video generation capabilities and 400 GB of cloud storage.

In addition to the free subscription, Google offers eligible students a 75% discount on the Google AI Pro plan, which includes advanced tools for application development and larger storage capacity. Students can also get a 70% discount on a plan that combines Google AI Pro with YouTube Premium, allowing ad-free video watching.

This initiative builds on a similar offer made to Egyptian students last year, with the program now expanded to include other Arab countries, such as Algeria, Morocco, Iraq, and Jordan. The goal is to equip students with the skills to effectively use AI tools in their academic and professional pursuits.

The "One Million Egyptian Students Create with Gemini" program includes training sessions throughout the year to reach a large number of students across various universities. By providing these resources, the Egyptian Ministry of Communications and Google aim to foster a community of students who can leverage AI to drive innovation and creativity.
