The Egyptian stock market witnessed significant gains in early trading on Sunday, with the market collecting 5.3 billion Egyptian pounds in just two hours. The uptrend was driven by buying operations from Egyptian investors, while Arab and foreign investors adopted a cautious approach. The main market indices saw notable increases, with the EGX30 index rising by 0.27% to reach 55,646 points.

The EGX30 weighted index and the EGX30 total return index also saw gains, rising by 0.18% and 0.31%, respectively. The EGX35-LV index jumped by 0.85% to reach 6,946 points, while the EGX70 equal-weighted index and the EGX100 equal-weighted index increased by 0.75% and 0.58%, respectively. However, the Islamic Sharia index and the Tamiz index declined by 0.4% and 0.06%, respectively.

In a related development, the Egyptian Stock Exchange announced the suspension of trading on eight stocks for 10 minutes due to exceeding the 5% fluctuation limit. The affected stocks included Robex Global for Plastic and Acrylic Manufacturing, Arab Engineering Industries, and National Printing. The exchange also disclosed the trading activities of insiders and major shareholders during the previous session.

The Egyptian Stock Exchange revealed that several companies, including Egyptian Industrial and Engineering Projects, and Kober for Commercial and Real Estate Development, witnessed significant buying and selling operations from insiders and related parties. The exchange also announced that various companies, including Egyptian Aluminum, and Egyptian Chemicals, reported their financial results for the past period.

Egyptian Aluminum reported sales of 53.2 billion pounds during the period from July 1, 2025, to June 30, 2026, representing a 23.1% growth compared to the same period last year. The company's net profit after tax reached 15.5 billion pounds, compared to 10.2 billion pounds in the previous year. Egyptian Chemicals also reported a net profit of 123.8 million pounds during the period from July 1 to August 31, 2026.

Robex Global for Plastic and Acrylic Manufacturing announced that its board of directors approved a study to increase its capital from 153.8 million pounds to 278.8 million pounds. Meanwhile, Talaat Mustafa Group Holding signed a preliminary agreement with Roshan, one of the companies of the Public Investment Fund, to establish a joint company to develop a comprehensive project in Riyadh.

The project, which is expected to include over 55,000 housing units, will be developed in a prime location in Riyadh and will feature commercial, office, tourism, entertainment, education, and healthcare facilities. The Egyptian stock market's early gains reflect a positive sentiment among investors, driven by recent economic developments and company performance.
