Egyptian Prime Minister Mustafa Madbouli recently chaired a meeting to review the progress of the 'Greater Cairo Greenification' project. Housing Minister Randa El-Manshawey reported that new cities are making significant efforts to plant trees and create public parks. She mentioned that several large parks are being planned or constructed in these cities, including a large park and artificial lake in the New Cairo town. The ministry is also preparing another site for a park in the October Gardens city.
The meeting also covered preparations for the opening of the 'Fustat Hills' park, a major project that will provide a new green space for residents. The Prime Minister instructed officials to set a date for the park's official opening, in line with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's directives. The park is expected to become a significant recreational and environmental hub in Cairo.
Cairo Governor Ibrahim Saber presented a proposal for the 'Greater Cairo Greenification' plan, which aims to improve the urban environment and increase green spaces.
