Madbouli pointed out that Egypt's efforts to empower women, youth, and people with disabilities are ongoing. The government has launched several national initiatives, including the Presidential Initiative "Hayat Karima," which aims to improve living conditions in rural areas. He emphasized that creating a favorable international environment is crucial for achieving the right to development.
The Prime Minister called for a more equitable and just international economic and financial system that addresses debt burdens, supports technology transfer, and builds capacity. He also urged the international community to remove structural barriers that hinder developing countries' ability to achieve their development goals.
Madbouli specifically highlighted the Palestinian people's right to development, which he said is inextricably linked to their right to self-determination and the establishment of an independent state. Egypt welcomes efforts to establish a binding international legal framework to promote the right to development.
