On November 4, 2026, Ayman Al-Bayea, Assistant Minister of Industry for Digital Transformation and Executive Director of the Industrial Modernization Center (IMC), held a meeting with members of the Sadat City Investors Association. Representatives from the industrial sector in Sadat City also participated. The meeting aimed to discuss procedures and facilitations provided by the Ministry of Industry and the IMC to the industrial community.

During the meeting, Al-Bayea emphasized that the Ministry of Industry has taken several initiatives to support manufacturers. These initiatives start from the procedures for obtaining work licenses to facilitating industrial operations as much as possible. The IMC provides technical services in all sectors through 14 branches across the country. The center has four different programs. The first program focuses on digital transformation to develop the Egyptian industry and keep pace with technological advancements.

The second program aims to localize and deepen the Egyptian industry, a strategic goal for the Ministry of Industry to reduce imports. The third program focuses on competitiveness and export support, aiming to increase the competitiveness of Egyptian products for export. The fourth program seeks to enhance energy efficiency by increasing solar energy projects and reducing traditional energy consumption.

Al-Bayea mentioned several completed initiatives by the Ministry of Industry and the IMC. One of the recent initiatives is “Shams Al-Sinaa,” which aims to convert factories from using traditional electricity to solar energy. This initiative seeks to reduce electricity consumption costs for many Egyptian factories. The Ministry of Industry has also launched a unified digital system to support manufacturers. This system provides a comprehensive package of digital industrial services to support industrial investors in all project stages.

The digital system features a complaints management section for manufacturers. For the first time, this section relies on setting binding time limits for responding to complaints. The system coordinates with various concerned parties and ministries through an advanced digital system. The Ministry of Industry has formed a follow-up committee that includes all relevant authorities within the ministry. This committee holds weekly meetings to review unresolved complaints that require reconsideration.

Al-Bayea also discussed the initiative to launch a fund to support struggling factories. This fund provides comprehensive solutions for struggling factories, either by linking them with financing entities or providing opportunities for partnerships and investments with investors seeking to expand in various industrial sectors. This initiative aims to reactivate production capacities, preserve investments, and maintain job opportunities.

Members of the Sadat City Investors Association praised the recent measures taken to facilitate industrial license procedures and address manufacturers' complaints regarding investment expansion challenges. They also welcomed the announced positive steps. The meeting reflects the ongoing efforts of the Egyptian Ministry of Industry to support and develop the industrial sector in Egypt.
