Egyptian Minister of Housing, Randa El-Manshawy, has been closely monitoring the progress of housing and development projects in October Gardens City. Her focus includes tracking the implementation status of various projects, efforts to improve services and residential areas, and enhancing oversight of construction activities. This oversight aims to elevate the city's urban appearance and ensure adherence to technical specifications and quality standards.
During her review, El-Manshawy examined the progress of several projects, including the green housing project in its seventh phase and the "810 Buildings" and "Dyarna" projects. Accompanied by Ammar Mandour, Deputy Chairman of the New Urban Communities Authority for Development and Construction Sector, and Yasser Abdel Halim, Head of the October Gardens City Development Agency, she assessed the implementation rates. The team also reviewed construction and finishing works, emphasizing the need to intensify labor and equipment, accelerate work pace, and adhere to technical specifications and quality standards.
The general plan for the green housing project involves constructing 208 residential buildings distributed across three sites. The minister stressed the importance of accelerating progress in the coming period. For the "810 Buildings" and "Dyarna" projects, El-Manshawy monitored implementation rates, construction and finishing works, as well as infrastructure and site preparation. This included inspecting some residential units in the "810 Buildings" project to assess the execution level and ensure compliance with technical specifications and quality standards.
The minister also reviewed updates on the implementation of an integrated youth center in the city, part of the "810 Buildings" project. The center, covering an area of 18,497 square meters, will feature various sports and recreational facilities. These include a semi-Olympic swimming pool, a children's pool, basketball and football fields, tennis and padel courts, an artificial lake, green spaces, a fountain, a children's play area, and a skating rink. The center aims to provide comprehensive services to the city's residents.
El-Manshawy's review also touched on efforts to improve services in the "Nakhil 1" area (formerly Dahshur). These efforts involve intensifying cleaning, landscaping, and site preparation. The goal is to enhance the internal roads, axes, and surroundings of residential buildings and green spaces. Direct communication with residents allows for addressing their concerns and proposals promptly.
In line with the government's efforts to combat construction violations, the minister reviewed the outcomes of regulatory campaigns in the Gardenia (B) area. These campaigns resulted in the immediate demolition of a violating fourth floor in two land plots and the halt of construction work. Continuous on-site monitoring and swift response to violations are crucial in maintaining urban discipline and adherence to approved construction and planning regulations.
In conclusion, El-Manshawy emphasized the importance of regular monitoring of housing and service projects in October Gardens City. This includes addressing any obstacles to implementation, accelerating progress while maintaining high-quality standards, and enhancing services for citizens. The government remains committed to achieving integrated urban development, providing a safe and civilized living environment that meets citizens' needs.
