Egyptian Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Abdel Aziz Qansua, recently visited Sengeror University in Alexandria to inspect the new campus and assess the start of the new academic year. The visit was attended by Dr. Hani Hilal, Chairman of the university's board of trustees, and Dr. Jean-Marc Lavest, the university's executive director. Sengeror University's new campus was officially opened in May by President El-Sisi and French President Emmanuel Macron. The campus spans 10 acres and features modern facilities, including academic and administrative buildings, a conference center, and student accommodations. The university offers programs in various fields, including culture, environment, management, and health.
During his visit, Dr. Qansua met with faculty members and students to discuss their vision for the academic process and university activities. He emphasized the importance of providing an integrated educational environment that fosters interaction among students from different African countries and supports the exchange of experiences and cultures.
Dr. Qansua highlighted that Sengeror University is an exemplary model of Egyptian-African-Francophone cooperation in education and capacity building. The university has become a crucial part of Egypt's cooperation with Africa, producing qualified African cadres capable of contributing to development efforts in their countries.
The university currently has over 4,000 graduates from 43 countries and welcomes students from more than 25 African countries. The new campus is expected to enhance the university's position and expand its academic and training activities. Egypt is committed to supporting the university and developing its academic and training role to meet Africa's development needs.
