A field survey revealed slight variations between wholesale and retail prices due to transportation costs and profit margins, with no significant price jumps.

The prices of vegetables showed relative stability, with some increases ranging from 3 to 7 pounds per kilogram in retail markets compared to wholesale prices. For instance, the price of tomatoes ranged from 7 to 15 pounds per kilogram, potatoes from 13 to 20 pounds, white onions from 12 to 18 pounds, and red onions from 12 to 16 pounds. Additionally, the price of zucchini ranged from 15 to 25 pounds per kilogram, carrots without tops from 10 to 20 pounds per kilogram, and eggplants from 5 to 9 pounds.

The prices of fruits also remained stable with minor variations in retail prices. The price of local oranges ranged from 7 to 11 pounds per kilogram, Abou Sera oranges from 21 to 25 pounds per kilogram, and summer oranges from 12 to 18 pounds per kilogram. Furthermore, the price of grapefruits ranged from 12 to 18 pounds, while lemons ranged from 15 to 27 pounds. The prices of various types of mangoes, such as Awais, Indian, and Timor, ranged from 42 to 150 pounds per kilogram.

The prices of fish maintained their stability, particularly for tilapia, which is in high demand. The prices of tilapia ranged from 72 to 75 pounds per kilogram for the first quality and from 67 to 71 pounds per kilogram for the second quality. Other fish prices included fillet tilapia from 75 to 275 pounds per kilogram, white skin from 200 to 320 pounds per kilogram, and Swiss pasta from 130 to 230 pounds per kilogram.

The prices of poultry also showed stability, with white chicken prices ranging from 60 to 70 pounds per kilogram in the farms and from 80 to 85 pounds per kilogram in retail markets. The prices of Saso chicken were around 100 pounds per kilogram in farms and from 105 to 110 pounds per kilogram in retail markets. Additionally, the prices of local chicken ranged from 110 pounds per kilogram in farms to 115-120 pounds per kilogram in retail markets.

The prices of eggs also remained stable, with red eggs priced at 105 pounds per carton wholesale and from 115 to 125 pounds per carton retail. White eggs were priced at 100 pounds per carton wholesale and from 110 to 120 pounds per carton retail. The stability in egg prices is attributed to the regular supply and steady demand.

The prices of meat showed stability, with the availability of various types of meat in consumer outlets and complexes. The prices of local meat ranged from 400 to 450 pounds per kilogram, while the prices of imported meat ranged from 330 to 390 pounds per kilogram. The government outlets and initiatives, such as "Hayat Karima," continued to offer meat at reduced prices, contributing to the stability of the market.
