Egyptian Labor Minister Hassan Raddad visited "Fresh Electric" home appliances company in Badr city on Sunday, October 11, 2026, to support national industry and investment, and enhance social protection for workers. The visit was in line with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's directives to boost national industry and provide a safe and stable work environment. During the visit, Raddad inspected production lines, met with workers, and listened to their opinions.
The minister was received by Khalil Ibrahim Khalil, Chairman of the company's board of directors, and other leaders. They briefed Raddad on the company's activities, production and export plans, and efforts to train technical cadres and qualify youth. Raddad emphasized that the state and the Ministry of Labor are committed to providing support and protection to workers, who are a fundamental pillar of production and development.
Raddad reviewed the ministry's efforts to implement Labor Law No. 14 of 2025 and develop a vocational training system linked to labor market needs. He also highlighted the role of the Investor Facilitation Unit in addressing challenges related to the ministry's competencies, which contributes to improving the business environment and encouraging investment and job creation.
A cooperation protocol was signed between the Ministry of Labor and "Fresh Electric" to develop vocational training programs in areas such as electrical and electronic appliance maintenance, refrigeration and air conditioning, sales and marketing, and after-sales services. The protocol, which lasts for three years, includes cooperation in preparing training curricula and packages, qualifying trainers, and implementing joint training programs.
The protocol also provides for creating job opportunities for program graduates according to the company's actual needs and organizing job fairs to connect graduates with employers. Raddad stressed that this cooperation is a model for partnership between the government and the private sector to qualify youth with the skills needed by the labor market.
Khalil Ibrahim Khalil, Chairman of the company's board of directors, confirmed that the Labor Minister's visit reflects the political leadership's interest in supporting industry, investment, and labor relations. He emphasized the company's keenness to continue developing its production and export capabilities and investing in qualifying technical cadres.
The cooperation protocol was signed by Engineer Yasmine Mamdouh Hassan, Head of the Central Administration for Vocational Training, on behalf of the Ministry of Labor, and Engineer Raymond Wasf, Head of the After-Sales Service Sector, on behalf of "Fresh Electric".
