In line with directives from Engineer Randa El-Manshawey, the Minister of Housing, Utilities, and Urban Communities, Engineer Ahmed Emran, Deputy Minister of Housing for Utilities, and Engineer Ahmed Ali, Deputy Chairman of the New Urban Communities Authority for Utilities, conducted an inspection tour in Shrouk City. They were accompanied by Engineer Mohamed Ahmed Zakria, head of the Shrouk City development agency, and officials from the utilities sector and the agency. The tour aimed to monitor the implementation status of ongoing projects, particularly those related to utilities in the newly added areas of the city.
The tour began with a detailed briefing on the progress of utility projects in Shrouk City, including implementation stages, achievement rates, and scheduled timelines. The presentation emphasized the importance of continued on-site monitoring, pushing work rates, and completing projects according to target timelines. Engineer Emran and his companions then visited the tertiary wastewater treatment plant, which has a capacity of 60,000 cubic meters per day. They reviewed the implementation status of the ongoing water treatment basin project, designed to accommodate excess water during peak times.
The inspection also covered the eastern extension areas of Shrouk City, including the Jeneefa "Zahrat El-Shrouk" and El-Rabia areas. The goal was to monitor the on-site progress of utility projects and assess achievement rates. According to reports, the implementation rate of utility networks (water, sewage, and stormwater) in Jeneefa "Zahrat El-Shrouk" reached 100%, while in El-Rabia, it was 75%. Work is ongoing to complete the projects and push implementation rates at the site.
Engineer Ahmed Emran stressed the importance of continued on-site monitoring of utility projects in Shrouk City, adhering to scheduled timelines, and speeding up work completion. This ensures the completion of the basic infrastructure in the added areas, enhancing their readiness for urban development while considering current and future city needs.
