The Egyptian Ministry of Health has dispatched an official to monitor the condition of a university student who was injured in a car accident on the international coastal road. Dr. Hamouda Eid El-Gazzar, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Dakahlia Governorate, instructed Dr. Lamis Hamdi, Undersecretary of the Directorate for Therapeutic Medicine, to visit the student at Belqas General Hospital. The student, Eman El-Dosouki, a Delta University student, is being treated in the intensive care unit.

Dr. El-Gazzar's directive came in response to a plea from the student's father, which was received by the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Dakahlia Governorate. Dr. El-Gazzar immediately instructed Dr. Hamdi to monitor the student's condition on the ground, ensure she receives proper medical care, and verify the level of medical care provided. Dr. Hamdi visited the hospital, reviewed the student's condition, and followed up with the treating medical team.

The medical team conducted all necessary medical examinations and x-rays for the student, who is currently under continuous monitoring by doctors and specialists in intensive care, neurology, cardiology, and chest diseases. The student is receiving treatment and medical care according to her condition. The treating medical team reported that the student is responding to treatment and showing improvement in her health condition.

Dr. Hamdi also conducted an inspection tour at Belqas General Hospital, covering the reception, emergency, intensive care, and nursery sections, as well as internal departments. She verified the workflow, service level, availability of medicines and medical supplies, and readiness of medical teams to handle various cases.

Dr. El-Gazzar emphasized that promptly responding to citizens' appeals and directly monitoring medical cases, especially critical ones, is part of the Directorate's efforts to ensure patients receive necessary medical care. He stressed that the student's condition would continue to be monitored and that she would receive medical care as determined by the treating medical team.

The Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health in Dakahlia Governorate pointed out that ongoing on-site monitoring of hospitals aims to ensure workflow regularity, medical section readiness, availability of medicines and supplies, and support for medical teams. This guarantees the continued provision of safe and effective health services to citizens around the clock.

The incident highlights the Egyptian Ministry of Health's commitment to providing medical care and support to those in need. The Ministry's efforts to monitor and respond to medical emergencies demonstrate its dedication to ensuring the well-being of Egyptian citizens.
