Egyptian Health Minister Dr. Khalid Abdel Ghaffar received a detailed report on the performance of the national project monitoring teams from September 13 to 19, 2026. Several projects have exceeded 70% completion rates. These include the Obour East City health unit in Ismailia and the outpatient building at Kantara West hospital. Work is also progressing rapidly at the New Alamein hospital in Matruh governorate. The Ministry of Health and Population is committed to completing these projects to improve healthcare services.
Dr. Sherif Mustafa, Assistant Minister for National Projects, confirmed the official handover of the Imbaba Health Technical Institute in Giza governorate. Work has begun on preparatory tasks, and the projects in Tahta, Sakkakltah, and Abu Tisht in Sohag and Qena governorates have been officially handed over. The focus is on ensuring efficient operations and maintenance.
The Ministry of Health and Population has started general maintenance work on buildings and electromechanical systems at the Dayrut Central Hospital in Asyut governorate. Additionally, the handover procedures for the Kifah health unit in New Valley governorate have been completed. These efforts aim to enhance healthcare infrastructure across Egypt.
