Egypt's health authorities have been actively monitoring development projects and emergency plans at various medical facilities in Menoufia governorate. The strategic administration at the Menoufia Health Department conducted on-site visits to assess project progress, performance indicators, and emergency response plans. This effort was carried out in accordance with directives from Health Minister Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar and Menoufia Governor, Major General Amr El-Gharib.

A team comprising various departments, including monitoring, evaluation, health planning, crisis management, and disaster response, carried out a surprise visit to several healthcare facilities. These facilities included Humatiyat Mit Khalf Hospital, Specialized Surgery Hospital, and Chest Hospital in Shibīn al-Kawm, as well as the health unit in Mit Khalf and units in Akhmās and Al-Iṣlāḥ in the city of Sadat.

During the visit, the team reviewed the fire extinguishing project at Shibīn al-Kawm Humatiyat Hospital, tracking implementation rates and discussing obstacles. They also verified that civil protection requirements and emergency evacuation plans were in place and that staff had received training on emergency procedures. Furthermore, they assessed performance indicators at Neurosurgery and Chest Hospitals in Shibīn al-Kawm.

The team analyzed performance rates, identified areas for improvement, and determined corrective actions required. They also studied healthcare needs and potential ways to enhance services provided to patients. The site visits included monitoring development work and capacity enhancement at the health unit in Mit Khalf and units in Akhmās and Al-Iṣlāḥ.

Menoufia Health Department emphasized the importance of expediting work and ensuring that facilities are prepared to provide quality healthcare services to citizens.
