On a recent occasion marking the 145th anniversary of Eastern Province's founding, Engineer Hazem Al-Ashmoni, the province's governor, officially opened the upgraded kidney dialysis unit in Shubra al-Nakhla. This unit is under the health administration of Belbeis. The upgrade and medical equipment enhancements cost a total of 14 million Egyptian pounds. This project was a collaborative effort between local civil society and the Ministry of Health and Population.
The governor inspected the facility and received an explanation from Dr. Ahmed Al-Belili, the Undersecretary of the Ministry of Health, regarding the development work. The upgrades included increasing the number of dialysis machines from 26 to 37. A new water treatment unit was established, and the existing one was renovated. Additionally, three new halls were equipped, and a dedicated area for patient reception was created. These improvements aim to enhance the unit's capacity to serve its visitors and provide dialysis services effectively.
During his visit, the governor ensured that the operations within the unit were running smoothly. He emphasized the importance of regular maintenance of devices and equipment to preserve them and guarantee their continued efficiency. The governor also met with several patients, checking on the quality of healthcare and treatment they were receiving. He directed that their needs be met and that the level of service be continuously monitored.
