On Sunday, Dr. Walid El-Bargi, Governor of the Red Sea, officially opened the upgraded "Hope Health Unit" in Ras Gharib. The unit, which spans 800 square meters, was renovated at a cost of 7 million Egyptian pounds. The project was supported and funded by Amunet Wind Energy Company, in collaboration with the Red Sea Health Directorate. The upgraded unit will provide primary healthcare services to approximately 60,000 residents of Ras Gharib.
The renovation work, which took 60 days to complete, included the upgrading of the emergency department, dental clinic, family medicine clinic, pharmacy, vaccination section, and family planning services. Additionally, the unit's doctor's accommodation was also renovated. The governor emphasized that the state prioritizes improving healthcare services for its citizens. He also highlighted the importance of collaboration with private companies to support service projects that directly impact people's lives.
Dr. Walid El-Bargi stressed the need to maximize the use of the upgraded facilities and maintain a high level of service within the unit.
