The plant is expected to have a production capacity of 10,000 cubic meters of water per day. He assigned the construction company, Arab Contractors, to examine and study two proposed land plots from a technical perspective and determine the most suitable site for the plant.
The governor also directed officials to inspect old water tanks and prepare a report on their current condition and the necessary work to upgrade them. The study will also explore the possibility of using these tanks to store desalinated water produced by the new plant. Governor El-Bargi emphasized the importance of completing the studies on the site and water tanks to determine the required procedures and integrate the project components with the existing drinking water system in the city.
