On Saturday, September 26, 2026, Aswan Governor Eng. Amr Lashin launched the "Minabar Al-Shabab" initiative at the Najjarat Youth Center in Kom Ombo. The initiative, organized by the Aswan Youth and Sports Directorate, aims to support and empower young people, develop their capabilities, and prepare them for active participation in the development process. The event was attended by Dr. Ayman Abdel Maqsoud, Undersecretary of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, and Brigadier General Samir Al-Balasi, Head of Kom Ombo Center and City.
The initiative is part of President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's "New Beginning for Building Human" initiative. During the launch, a video presentation was shown, explaining the initiative's objectives, main axes, target groups, and implementation mechanisms. The initiative aims to qualify 1000 young men and women from Aswan in leadership, strategic planning, and community development fields. So far, 1200 young people have applied, and the application process will continue until September 30.
After inspecting the activities and training sessions, Governor Eng. Amr Lashin praised the initiative, saying it represents a local model for investing in youth capabilities. He added that the initiative includes training programs that aim to select 100 young men and women to be ambassadors for Aswan's 2040 strategy. They will promote a culture of development and community participation across the governorate. The governor emphasized that the initiative's success is measured by its ability to discover and develop talented youth.

He added that 50% of the participants are young men and 50% are young women, with a special allocation for people with disabilities and priority given to young people from villages and rural areas. The initiative includes workshops and training programs that cover topics such as constitutional awareness, Egyptian laws, and the 2030 vision.
