Egyptian Governor Mohamed Elwan of Asyut has emphasized the continuation and intensification of door-to-door campaigns across various local units and villages. The goal is to directly communicate with citizens and urge them to expedite the legal procedures for regularizing state-owned land and resolving disputes. This initiative aims to preserve state rights, regularize citizens' situations, and achieve stability, in line with President Abdel Fattah El-Sisi's directives and the state's efforts to achieve sustainable development goals and the Egypt 2030 vision.
The local unit of Sahl Salem, led by Mohamed Ismail, continues to implement awareness campaigns and daily field visits to villages within the center. These efforts aim to encourage citizens to quickly complete regularization and reconciliation procedures, take necessary actions against non-compliant cases, and post notices on violating homes to alert owners to apply for reconciliation before the specified legal deadlines. The authorities are providing possible facilitations in accordance with the law, and have already completed eight files for regularizing state-owned properties in the villages of Al-Matmar and Arab Matir.
Governor Elwan pointed out that the process of regularizing state-owned land is ongoing, in accordance with the provisions of Law No. 168 of 2025. The work is being carried out under the supervision of Ali Ata, Deputy Chairman of the Center and General Supervisor of the local unit in Al-Awna and the regularization file. Other participants include Mahmoud Hamam, head of the local unit in Al-Awna, Mamdouh Amer, secretary of the unit, Mamdouh Fathi, director of state-owned land in the center, and Shabaan Mohamed, responsible for state-owned land in the unit.
The door-to-door campaigns target non-compliant cases, aiming to directly communicate with owners, inform them about the status of their files, and clarify the required procedures and documents to complete regularization and reconciliation requests. This helps expedite the process, take advantage of the opportunities and facilitations provided by the laws, and warns of the necessity to adhere to specified deadlines to avoid taking legal measures.
