Egyptian Governor Jaquline Azar recently welcomed Khaled Balshi, head of the Egyptian Journalists' Syndicate, and Mohamed Saad Abdel Hafiz, syndicate agent and head of the training committee, at the public library in Damanhour. This meeting was part of a training session aimed at improving the quality of journalistic content. The session, which ran from October 6 to 8, 2026, was organized in collaboration with the Damanhour Book Fair. Around number of journalists from the Egyptian Journalists' Syndicate in El-Behira and Alexandria governorates participated.

Governor Azar expressed her appreciation for the training session, highlighting its significance in supporting the professional development of journalists and media professionals. She emphasized that the session's timing, coinciding with the Damanhour Book Fair, underscores the importance of integrating cultural and training events. Azar also acknowledged the crucial role journalists play in reflecting public opinion and monitoring issues affecting citizens' lives.

Governor Azar invited journalists to participate in a field trip to visit major projects and development sites in El-Behira governorate. This would enable them to gain firsthand knowledge of the governorate's development efforts across various sectors. Khaled Balshi, head of the Journalists' Syndicate, expressed gratitude for the cooperation with El-Behira governorate in organizing the training session. He praised the arrangements made and stressed that continuous training is essential for professional development and improving journalistic performance. Balshi also highlighted the importance of expanding training programs to enhance journalists' skills and promote professional practices.

Balshi mentioned that the Journalists' Syndicate's training center is open to utilizing its capabilities and training programs in various fields of journalism. He expressed his willingness to repeat the experience in El-Behira governorate and expand participation to more journalists from neighboring governorates. This would enable a larger number of journalists to benefit from the training programs.

Mohamed Saad Abdel Hafiz, syndicate agent and head of the training committee, thanked El-Behira governorate for its role in the successful training session. He promised to repeat the training sessions for El-Behira journalists in various fields of journalism. The training sessions aim to enhance the skills and knowledge of journalists, ultimately contributing to improved journalistic content.

At the end of the meeting, Governor Azar and Journalists' Syndicate head Khaled Balshi distributed certificates of completion to the participants. The training session is part of the syndicate's efforts to support the professional development of journalists and promote high-quality journalistic content.
