Egyptian Foreign Minister Badr Abdelatty hosted a high-level roundtable on early recovery in Gaza on Wednesday, September 23, at the Egyptian permanent mission to the United Nations in New York. Palestinian Prime Minister Mohammad Mustafa participated virtually, while Norwegian Foreign Minister Espen Eid, Indonesian Foreign Minister Retno Marsudi and ministers of international cooperation from Britain, Qatar, and the UAE also attended.
The roundtable discussed the dire situation in Gaza and ways to ensure the safe and sustained delivery of humanitarian aid. Participants emphasized the need to accelerate early recovery efforts and reconstruction, providing a dignified life for the Palestinian people.
