The Egyptian National Food Safety Authority has intensified its oversight on food safety in local markets. As part of its efforts, the authority conducted 1499 inspection missions across the country, covering 4852 food establishments. These campaigns educated consumers on the importance of verifying product information before purchase and avoiding products that do not meet required standards. The authority also implemented 76 decisions issued by the Public Prosecution.
