Egyptian Minister of Education and Technical Education, Mohamed Abdellatif, held a meeting with Andreas Adrian, Director of the Technical Cooperation Project for Comprehensive Vocational Education (TCTI II) and coordinator of the Vocational Education and Labor Market sector at the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ), and his accompanying delegation. The meeting aimed to enhance cooperation in developing the vocational education and training system, review ongoing programs and projects, and discuss future collaboration areas.

The German delegation included Ragda Hisham, Director of the Technical Cooperation Project for Comprehensive Vocational Education (TCTI I), Radwa Abd al-Ra'ouf, Deputy Director of the Employment Opportunities Promotion Project (EPP 4), Nouran Ismail, Project Manager for the Technical Cooperation Project for Comprehensive Vocational Education (TCTI II), and Nader Nabil, Project Manager for the Technical Cooperation Project for Comprehensive Vocational Education (TCTI II). The Egyptian side was represented by Ayman Bahaa Eddin, Deputy Minister, Yaser Osman, Ambassador and Minister's advisor for international relations and agreements, Salah Abd al-Sadek, Ambassador and Minister's advisor for international relations, Amr Basila, Head of the Central Administration for Vocational Education Development and Director of the Applied Technology Schools Operation and Management Unit, and Iman Yasin, Director General of the International Relations Department.

Minister Abdellatif praised the long-standing and fruitful cooperation between the Egyptian Ministry of Education and Technical Education and the German International Cooperation Agency (GIZ). He emphasized that GIZ is a key partner in the ministry's efforts to develop the vocational education and training system. The minister appreciated the cooperation provided through the Technical Cooperation Project for Comprehensive Vocational Education with Egypt - Phase II (TCTI II), which supports the ministry's efforts to develop the vocational education system.

The minister highlighted the importance of continuing coordination with GIZ to support the ministry's priorities and plans for development. He stressed that the ministry is working to develop vocational education according to an integrated vision that aims to equip students with the skills and competencies required by the labor market. The minister also emphasized the importance of expanding applied technology schools, which are based on effective partnerships with the private sector.

Andreas Adrian expressed his appreciation for the close cooperation with the Egyptian Ministry of Education and Technical Education. He praised the results achieved through joint programs and projects, particularly the Technical Cooperation Project for Comprehensive Vocational Education with Egypt - Phase II (TCTI II). Adrian confirmed GIZ's commitment to continuing work with the ministry during the next phase and expanding cooperation areas that support vocational education and training priorities.

The meeting discussed several areas of cooperation, including developing the Egyptian-German model for applied technology schools, expanding it according to Egyptian, German, and international quality standards, and utilizing German expertise in school administration and vocational training. The parties also discussed developing commercial vocational education, future job tracks and specializations, and training teachers and trainers within companies.

The two sides agreed to continue building on the achievements of existing cooperation and expanding programs and projects that support the ministry's priorities for developing the vocational education and training system. They emphasized the importance of preparing graduates with the necessary skills and competencies to compete in the local and international labor markets.
